Broadway & Columbus

Here is one of my projects from last semester, it involved mapping anything I chose to in the Broadway and Columbus area in SF. I decided to make a map, (that is made up of multiple maps), showing the rating, busy-ness, and cost of all the restaurants and strip clubs in the area. I decided on this after visiting the location many times and realizing that, that’s what really makes up the area and how it thrives. Along with this, I had to design a logo to go with it, check out the individual maps here along with some other stuff.
This really doesn’t do the project justice. Let me explain it a little more, I will post pics of the final products when I get a camera that is not my iphone.
I made individual maps for each category: low cost/mid cost/high cost, low ratings/mid/high, least busy/mid/most. Each map is printed on a transparency and you chose one of each to find the restaurant or strip club you are looking for. For example: you want a cheap restaurant with high ratings and not a lot of people; you would then take these three maps and slide them into the frame I made and find which place has all three of these specifications overlapping.
I also made a pretty cool process book of this, those pics will be up soon too
